Once a claim is reported, you will receive an acknowledgement by email with the claim number and the name and contact information for the claim adjuster. You will hear from your claim adjuster as soon as possible after the assignment of a new claim. Click on the attached “What to Expect” link for additional details about next steps.

Your adjuster is the best person to provide the status of your claim. You can reach your adjuster by email, their direct phone line, or you may call us at (800) 259-2560.

Absolutely. All claims should be reported, no matter how minor they may appear. Claims can be reported as notice only. Once an adjuster is assigned, they will determine if additional investigation will be needed. Reporting your claim is the best way to be proactive and to protect the best interests of your business. Not reporting your claim as soon as practicable could jeopardize your coverage.

We have a relationship team to select best in class legal representation, which is a vetted group of defense lawyers. We strive to provide the best defense for covered claim. We partner with our defense counsel to determine the most appropriate strategy. In the event the case does not resolve prior to trial, we have a panel of experienced trial lawyers.

Berkley Environmental also has an in-house Legal Bill Review team that monitors and controls costs. We also negotiate rates with our national vendors.

We have a robust fraud program, and are members of the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB). The NICB partners with insurance companies, consumers, and law enforcement to combat and prevent insurance fraud. We aggressively identify and investigate red flights.
